3.5 Weeks Old-Kinley

Sorry about the horrible background this was taken on, but she's all dressed up!

Mazie's New Bathroom!

I guess eventually it will be Kinley's also, but Mazie loves her new bathroom. We had it painted at the same time as her bedroom. She would go into the bathroom and just look and point at the monkeys on the shower curtain. She loves to brush her teeth and yes, all those toothbrushes are hers!

19 Days Old!

It is VERY hard to get pictures of a 2 year old and a 2.5 week old!

Kinley's First Bath

Mazie was very excited to help with Kinley's first bath. I'm not sure what she thought since I'm sure she doesn't think baths should be on the kitchen table! She was very helpful though!

Thanks, Dr. Emmylou Wilson for filling in for my maternity leave! :)

Grandpa Leonard (Grandma was here too, but didn't get a good pic)

Mazie meeting her baby sister for the first time. She seemed totally fine with the whole thing and seemed to really "love" her little sister. That includes lots of laying on her (giving her hugs) and kisses. We have to watch her quite a bit, as she thinks the swing doesn't go high enough for Kinley so she "helps" it out! She has realized that sometimes it's Kinley's turn for Mommy and sometimes it's her turn. Overall, she hasn't had too many jeolousy problems!

Welcome Kinley!

Kinley just minutes old

Our doctor Dr. Vogt checking her out! He didn't even have time to change into scrubs!

7 lb. 7 oz.

19 1/2 inches long

Kinley surprised us all and came 2 weeks early! She decided she was in a hurry as I was only in labor for maybe 4 hours and only spent about an hour and a half in the hospital before she was born! I started noticing contractions during Bible Study so maybe about 8 PM? I didn't think they were the real thing though. We took Mazie over to our daycare lady's house about 10 and got to the hospital about 10:30. The rest went pretty fast, but not fast enough for me at the time! :) We certainly seemed to surprise people when we called to tell them they had a new granddaughter or niece! They weren't expecting her so soon either!

Mazie's New Room

Gma Diane made her quilt.

We have Mazie's new room done mostly now (and even have curtains up that I will have to take pictures of sometime that Gma Hunt made). We have not had Mazie stay in her room yet since before we had time to make adjustments, the baby came! We have had company over quite a bit since and since we have a trundle under the bed, we are able to use it as our guest room, but that doesn't stop Mazie from having fun in there. She loves her desk from Gpa and Gma A. Doesn't match the room, but she doesn't care! :) She is really into writing and coloring lately.

Lake Geneva

Barb came back to our house after Lake Geneva and spent a few days before heading home again.

Dad and Mazie enjoying breakfast in our room. Mom and Dad stayed in our suite.

My whole family went to Lake Geneva to celebrate Mom and Dad's 40th Anniversary this year. I think it all turned out very well and we all had a great time! We stayed at a waterpark hotel that had suites so we had 3 suites for all of us. We rented a pontoon one afternoon and that was fun to go out on the lake. Everything was done quite slowly since there are a LOT of little kids and I was 8 months pregnant! I didn't get very many pictures so this will have to do! I would recommend this hotel/waterpark, especially is you have little kids.

Chair for Mazie

After

Sanding

Before

I had gotten this chair for $2 at a garage sale since I thought it was so cute. I have had it for at least a year if not more! Barb and I were cleaning in our basement and we decided to refinish it at about 7:50 PM Saturday. I know that since we needed supplies and Farm and Fleet closed at 8 and we barely made it here in time! I think for both of our first attempts at repainting a wooden chair, we didn't do too bad! I should add a picture with the chair cushion that Gma Hunt made, but that will be in another post when I have pictures of Mazie's new room!
